Words cannot express the level of happiness we feel for former MANA de Imperial Valley President, Hon. Ruth Bermudez Montenegro. In March 2022 Hon. Ruth Bermudez Montenegro was confirmed as U.S. District Judge for Southern District of California.
In 2007 Hon. Ruth Bermudez Montenegro incorporated MANA de Imperial Valley as a 501 (c)(3), becoming a duly authorized chapter of the National MANA organization. During her four-year presidency from 2007-2010, revenues increased from hundreds of dollars to over $50,000, membership more than tripled, and the organization was recognized as Chapter of the Year by the National MANA organization. On April 21, 2022, the Imperial County Lawyers Association along with the Federal Bar Association San Diego Chapter organized a reception honoring recently confirmed U.S. District Judge Ruth Bermudez Montenegro. It was a beautiful ceremony highlighting the many accomplishments and accolades of Hon. Ruth Bermudez Montenegro. The board of MANA de IV was proud to be in attendance celebrating with our former President.
