Guadalupe Rodriguez

Ms. Rodriguez was born and raised in Calexico and is a graduate Calexico High, received her Associate of Arts in Photography from Imperial Valley College and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Phoenix. Lupe has served as Chief Photographer for the Naval Air Facility from the 1980-1990’s, worked for IVROP as Program Manager for vocational training and taught Photography to adults and high school students, was a past photographer for Imperial Valley Press and Managing Editor for Calexico Chronicle. She currently serves as the Director of Outreach for Catholic Charities in Imperial Valley where she oversees IV Catholic Charities programs.

Membership Director:
​Maria Peinado

Ms. Peinado grew up in Brawley and is a graduate of the University of Califonia, San Diego.  While in San Diego she was involved with voter registration drives and with the Latino City Employees Association  while working as an economic development intern for the City of San Diego.  She has volunteered with the Preemie Family Council for the local chapter of the March of Dimes to raise awareness about the importance of preventing premature births and recently served as Vice-Chair for the Imperial Valley Regional Taskforce on Homelessness.  She is a member of the Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) Community Advisory Committee.  Ms. Peinado is currently employed as the Publlic Health Information Officer at the Imperial County Publlic Health Department.

Community Service Director:
​Rebecca Terrazas-Baxter 

Mrs. Terrazas-Baxter is an Imperial County native, graduated from Southwest High School and received her bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Law and Society from the University of California, Irvine. She currently serves on a number of committees and boards, including as second vice-chair of the Veterans Employment Committee of Imperial Valley, Sunflower School Site Council, and the Imperial Valley Young Professionals Organization.  She has ten years of experience working for federal and state elected officials, including Senator Barbara Boxer, Assemblyman V. Manuel Perez, and Congressman Juan Vargas.  Currently, she works for the County of Imperial.  She is married to John Edward Baxter and mother to Zoe and Emmy.
